Now here's a rumor that's a bit different from what we've seen so far. According to this report, the next iteration of the iPad will surprisingly be a bit thicker than the current iPad 2 . If that's so then Tim Cook and co. must have a very good reason for it to appease the hordes of patrons that might get a tad disappointed.
Don't get us wrong, the next iPad won't be a fatty if that's what you're thinking. It will just be .7mm thicker than the iPad 2 which means it will measure about 9.5mm thick. What's with the added thickness? Well, according to iLounge , it's for the necessary parts that will give the display a pixel bump. We're not sure if this means a Retina Display but an iPad with a higher resolution touchscreen will make things sweeter for the next version of Apple 's latest and greatest tablet.
But that's not all. The iPad 3 is also rumored for a March 3 release and could be unveiled as soon as two months from now. While we're betting that it will have a better display, we're still taking this with a grain of salt.
