Apple Incorporation made an apparent clarification that the iPad sales passing one million units were much faster than the iPhone who only achieved the figure after 74 days in 2007. Witnessing the sales acceleration of the iPad device, which was mainly an advancement to replace the smart phone or computer, the Apple has begun to pioneer the second batch of iPad. They comprise of advanced models with higher Wi-Fi speed and bigger memory capacity and certainly they are pricier than the basic versions.

The company also revealed that the selling of iPad was like hot cakes and the production has never been on par with the demands. Despite the one-month delay in the international iPad launch, the company continued facing much difficulty to meet the market's demands. Steve Job himself stated that until now, the supply has never exceeded the demand and they are working hard to have the iPad delivered to the hands of more customers.

According to the research done by Daniel Ernst, the Hudson Square Research analyst, he did not expect the iPad sales to exceed the predictions of most analysts. However his further research indicates that most of the buyers constitute of people who were already the fans of Apple products and some are early adopters thus nobody could infer anything regarding the long-term demand of the product. But he did reveal that the iPad has a potential in the market has the Apple iPad is an multi-purpose device for media consumption, including games, videos, web browsing and even electronic books and magazines.

Many analysts came up with the prediction that the selling of iPad could achieve five million units in the coming year, although the brand new product is rather difficult to forecast. So far, positive results can be viewed in the 1.5 million digital books and 12 million software applications downloaded into the iPad.
